    OMG i thought the same!!!

  • ayianapia

Yes, it might be ; I read a similar story a few years
ago saying that Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed the role of Yul Brynner as inspiration for
    the robot in Terminator .

  • RollDeep1000

Could this movie be the possible inspiration for The Terminator. I mean Yule Brynner kinda looks like the T1000 (without hair).

Lolwut? Why’s the trailer just a chronological shortening of the ENTIRE movie? It spoils all the good parts, haha.

Most fun I’ve had watching a futurist film in YEARS! Hilarious at it’s cheesiest, thought provoking at it’s chilling–est.

    A new personal favorite!

I thought the EXACT SAME watching it today. Eerie!

Doesn’t James Brolin look Exactly like Christian bale here? Scary

I was about 10 when I saw it for the first time on tv; even after more than 35 years, one of the best sci-fi movies ever. yul brynner almost lost an eye during the filming, because of his metal and dangerous contact lenses.

I felt the clip of the man being stabbed for a split second at the end was somehow out of place.
It was almost like a subliminal message

Yul Brenner scares me in this movie. Liked him better in the King and I.

  • Bilderish

This is the first movie that used CGI… Respect for that.

    Sloppy with you drink ….

class, class film! way before the terminater and i robot!

  • RaynorX

random, but this reminded me of a comment in Jurassic Park where Ian Malcolm mentions that the pirates in Disneyland don’t kill the tourists. Well in Westworld they do apparently lol.

  • RaynorX

Because the Romans were always stabbing each other in the backs. Well, at least the aristocrats were.

  • ScienceFICTION1973

    awsome film!

I saw it when it first came out also and it was great. I agree that a remake today could be great. Yul Brynner was fantastic. One needs to see this preview to know what is going on in the movie unless he/she starts to watch it from the beginning.

I saw this movie when it first came out and loved it even though I hate sci-fi. A remake of this film would really work nowadays with all the modern technology.

  • HellNight7

It’s on R2 now, check ebay!

WOW talk about showing everything in the Trailer… GREAT MOVIE

    I can’t help but wonder why the Romanworld had knives and murdered guests.I mean—wasn’t the whole point of Romanworld to indulge in sexual pleasure?{Granted,that’s a concept that’s as wide as the Grand Canyon,but…..!}

I’m open to the idea of a remake of this—in fact, considering what they can do with CGI these days, especially how closely they can replicate the human face—

okay, who sees where I’m going with this?

  • Starfighterking

WOW, Yul Brynner in the first Termintor Movie from 1972!!! Great Movie!

  • portbalto

This was just on TCM. I watched it. Awesome.

  • Starsky5000

Great Movie. One of my all time favorites. Awesome actor Yul Brynner. He is surely missed. Unique!

  • dapoetmaster

Classic goodies…like most old school trailers, they show too many spoilers, not sure why that was the case…
