this one was good but i like the first 3 better, the reason they didn’t have kate beckinsale play in this one was b/c they said she LOOKED like sonja so they got somebody who LOOKS like her and i think she did a good job! basically they did the same thing slept with lycans, good warriors but hardheaded daughters, and were kind of put in the middle…see same story

Awsome Movie, but the 1st 2 were a little better. The book series is great too, in this series there is also a book not covered in any of the movies it covers Sonja before her mother died so, if you’re interested, it’s 4 books. Dont read them in the order they were published. To fully understand the story you need to read Blood Enemy, Rise of The Lycans, Underworld & Underworld Evolution, They all jump around in time in the movies and the books. It can get confusing. Greg Cox is the author.

Do as you want, I watched the first two movies at first and then the 3rd: “Rise of the Lycans” ;D It was interesting to find out what caused the war between Vampires and Werewolves

I think that’s Exactly why! It would be to confusion for some to determine who was Sonja & who was Selene. I think they did a good job with the casting though. Sonja looks alot like Selene & acts somewhat similar to Selene but not enough to confuse the 2 different characters.They never said that Selene and Sonja were Identical, they just said that Selene reminded Victor of Sonja which means they probably just favoried one another in looks & personality…

I wonder why they don’t let Kate Beckinsale play Sonja, because in the first movie they say Selene and Sonja look so much alike.
Maybe it would become confusing or something?

the reason they didn’t put kate beckinsale in this movie because it’s like a prequel. they chose a woman who looked like her because in the first one, they talked about how victor couldn’t kill her because she reminded him of his daughter sonja so it would make no sense to put her in because she wasn’t thought about yet.
