In other words he is singing it like somebody who does not speak Spanish naturally. I can read Spanish but do not have the background knowledge to speak it like a native – and it sound exactly like that.

I cannot believe the people who are knocking Christina’s interpretation of this duet. She is incredible!
Andrea Bocelli has an incredible voice but he is not suited to Spanish ballads at all. His album Amore is one such example. He sings everything with blandness and operatic precision. These types of songs are meant to inspire passion. There are many, many other people who perform them better – even though he is actually a better singer.
Go Christina. You are wonderful.

Cristina has a great voice many new female singers. The problem is that when is time to sing they get into to much show and there you have it. Terrible screach….
Even Manzanero would have told her that she needs to complement the other singer. It was a discord song; unfortunately by Aguilera.
