have to agree………this movie was INCREDIBLE and all but ignored by Hollywood’s “usual suspects”, when in fact it was one of the BEST movies of the entire year!!!
School kids would be far better off to view something like this than the JUNK they watch in school……….

You are missing the point here….the movie is about a BRITISH MAN who wrote this song, and another BRITISH MAN who freed the slaves IN BRITAIN………
No one is pretending ANYTHING HERE!!!

This needs to be said today to those who put down the Tea Parties etc. ” No matter how loud you shout, you will not drown out the voice of the people!”

I wonder if you noticed this movie plays in england … So it would be natural that they play one of national instruments of the movie.
And by the way Historicaly the bagpipes origin lies in Persia. So even Scotland adopted it

Ioan Gruffudd was NOT recognized enough for this role!!!! HE was magic, he was AMAZING!!!!! all the actors in this movie and the movies itself was way underplayed but this is the best movie I have EVER seen. This is possibly one of my favorite movies of all time…everyone involved in this movie deserves 10 oscars!!!!! BRILLIANT!!! Pure genius!!!!!
