I enjoyed this movie. It was entertaining.
One part that made me laugh is how the Americans had their own arch to command, but the other countries had to share theirs.

Dude! Get over yourself! The movie was pure entertainment and that’s it. It’s not like it will ever happen. BTW! the CGI was the best I’ve seen in years. Just take your bad attitude somewhere else.

Then, of course, were arguably the two worst scenes in recent memory. First, the president….outside on the streets of DC like a commoner….survives what no one else does…just so Emmerich could show him watching DC taken under the sea; an absolute waste of film. This was to be outdone by ultra-faking replication of Air Force One symbolically getting rammed into the Ark by the massive wave later in the film. Did all involved in making this believe that movie goers would find that cool?

The CG wasn’t very good either; same old tired dark backdrop that has been used for a decade. The initial scenes in California with the Family Robinson “narrowly” escaping death’s door (first in the limo and then in the airplane) were classic in their stretches of even the wildest imagination. How about Woody H’s character doing radio transmissions from Wyoming that somehow Cusak could pick up on a CAR RADIO in California? From start to finish, the entire movie was just pure crap.

Seriously, another movie about a “bad dad” who’s kids don’t like him turns hero? How about how a nobody limo driver ends up being recognized by the suppossed leading scientist in the US? Could they have casted a worse actor than Danny Glover? How about the always “ice cold” hench-man (Anheisaur)? My God, was this film made by a bunch of ten year olds? Where the brat twin Russians or the chick with the fake cones necessary to the film? Did they add anything except terrible dialouge?

I said earlier that this was one of the five worst “big budget” movies I’ve ever seen and was asked to list the other four. Off of the top of my head, two of them were also Roland Emmerich piles of garbage; The Day After Tomorrow & Ind. Day. Deep Impact is up there too along with perhaps one of Tom Cruise’s piles of crap in the later years. The bottom line is that this film was garbage and so lazily made that I’m shocked anyone could possibly suggest it was good or even mildly entertaining.
